We wish him well, but this was the right decision for us.’
Sheppard, now retired in Alaska, shared his thoughts in a 2025 statement: ‘In my heart, NEVERMORE will always be Warrel, Jeff, and I in that one-room apartment, pouring everything into our music. I’m disappointed no one reached out about using the name, but I wish them the best.’
