Twinkle, Twinkle Auld Lang Syne

A potpourri of folk song themes... and Mozart, too

HAIKU, Maui, June 16, 2011 - I recorded the following potpourri of folk song themes the same evening I did the country-western tune "Ghost Riders in the Sky."  And some "folk" themes are not as folksy as they seem.  Check it out...

As you can see, some were originally written by Mozart.  But they were so popular that the Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star earned the rank of a folk song or a nursery rhyme.  Few kids know nowadays that they owe a debt of gratitude to the famous 18th century classical music composer.
